Services

Children and young people are at the centre of all the services provided at GUIDE92 Education. We work in partnership with local authorities; schools and families to ensure the services we provide are effective to those we work with. Our services help to achieve national accreditation, but also extensive support is provided to help children to take control over their emotions.

GUIDE92 Education offers both full and part time placements; a tailored package to suit individual needs. We provide children with a learning experience in small group settings. We follow the National Curriculum, which includes long, medium and short-term plans. Furthermore, students learning and behaviour targets are highlighted in their Individual Education Plan (IEP) that is monitored and reviewed by staff on an ongoing basis. Individual reports for children are written and parent(s)/carer(s) are invited to discuss the child’s progress. Children are also supported in reflecting on their own learning and behaviour.

The use of nurture groups is highly valued at GUIDE92 Education. Research has highlighted nurture groups as an effective form of intervention for children and young people with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. Our home service involves visiting and working with children who refuse to attend school and we are able to work with the child from home and eventually, integrate the child back into school.

 What we offer:

  • ✅   A safe and secure learning environment for pupils (both full and part time students). The building is well presented and maintained by staff and students.
  • ✅   Breakfast and Lunch is provided in order to avoid negative attitudes behind free school meals. Both staff and pupils eat together.
  • ✅   Rules and consequences to ensure the safety of pupils and promote a fair learning environment.
  • ✅   Structured timetable which can be tailored to meet the needs of pupils.
  • ✅   Mentoring by a member of staff which aims to help students to discuss their action plans to reach their personal targets and whether these have been achieved.
  • ✅   Students are encouraged to reflect on their behaviour and learning during these mentoring sessions.
  • ✅   A home service whereby staff would visit and work with students that avoid or even refuse to attend school so that the young individual can integrate into school once more.
